No Tusker Project Fame In 2014

Tusker Project Fame is no more. The singing competition show that is sponsored by East Africa Breweries will not be returning to your screens after the EABL  pulled the plug on the show.

According to a reliable source the company decided to focus on its just concluded new reality show, Tusker Twende Kazi  where paired a celebrity and a fan in a task to race around the world to deliver a bottle of Tusker to Kenya Sevens plays Humphrey Khayange in London.

While no reason has been offered, the most probably cause would be that the budget set aside for that kind of sponsorship was spent on Twende Kazi. Plumating ratings of TPF may have prompted the beverage manufacturer to try out an alternative idea.

The beer maker is said to sink about Ksh 700 million into one season of the show but regrettably, stardom seems to always elude the contestants who have won the competition.

The show may however make a come back in 2015 after a review and probably change of tact in strategy and execution of the production.

Past winners of previous seasons of TPF include , Valerie Kimani (Kenya) Esther Mugizi (Uganda), Alpha Rwirangira (Rwanda) Hillary Davis Ntare (Uganda), Alpha Rwirangira (Rwanda), Ruth Matete (Kenya) and Hope (Burundi).
