Ebonies Founder Laid To Rest

Stella Nanteza, one of the Founding members of the most renowned drama group in Uganda, The Ebonies was yesterday laid to rest at her ancestral home in Buso, Namulonge along Gayaza road.

On Thursday June 19, Stella Nanteza was involved in a motorcycle accident in Kasangati a Kampala Suburb and she was rushed to Kadic hospital for treatment.

The conditions got worse and she was transferred to Mulago National referral hospital but the will of God defeated science and she was declared dead on Saturday June 21.

Stella Nanteza was one of the great singers the Ebonies has ever witnessed. She sang songs like Endabirwamu Yange Junior, African Woman, Kondo, Emitima Egiwedde, and many more.

Stella Nanteza was married to the late Jimmy Katumba and survived by two children Olga Katumba and Stella Katumba.

  1. I remember Sam Kadaga , Jimmy Katumba , Peter Clever Lwanga and Stella. They are all founders of Ebonies that are now dead. Only God knows why important people die while useless ones live on ” add & multiply”

  2. Rest in peace. Some action needs to be taken against motorcycle and make them safe for their riders and public
