Kabaka Advocates Equality and Fairness In Martyrs Day Message

The Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi has called for Equality and Fairness among Christians as key virtues that will promote a just society for all.
His message was delivered to pilgrims at the Anglican shrine in Namugongo as part of the celebrations to commemorate the Uganda Martyrs day. The message was delivered through the Kyadondo County Chief Patrick Luwaga Mugumbule.
In the message, the Kabaka urged believers to emulate the devotion of the Uganda Martyrs towards fairness and equality especially during this period of planning and preparing for the next general election in 2016. He observed that war, hatred, Corruption and lack of compassion have taken a toll on Ugandans and as such countrymen need to pray and seek divine intervention to change the situation.
He also decried the rampant embezzlement of tax payer’s money saying the trend is responsible for alarming levels of poverty among Ugandans, Poor health facilities in the Country and resultant deaths.
Kabaka Mutebi also appealed to Christians in the Anglican Church to support the Church in its new Construction projects at Namugongo through financial Contributions.
The projects include the construction of a Pavilion and the Uganda martyrs Museum. Meanwhile, President Museveni has offered Shs200million to the Anglican Church towards the same cause.
