M7 To Ugandan Men: Be Humble And Care For Your Wives

Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni has called on men in the country to exude humility as a character and care for their wives.

He made the call on Saturday at the Lugogo UMA main hall during the wedding reception of Kenneth Baija a member of staff of State House and Sarah Nduhukire, a member of staff of the Uganda National roads Authority.

“ Men should be humble and take care of their wives,” President advised married couples

According to Sarah Kagingo, the Special Presidential Assistant On Communications, He cautioned married couples against the vice of being over ambitious particularly under the influence and pressure from their wives saying such conduct could be detrimental to their lives and well-being of their families.

President Museveni cautioned the youth and people at large against the vices of promiscuity and alcoholism.

He donated some cows to the bride, Sarah and congratulated the entire family for the wedding ceremony.

The groom is also a son of the late Dr. Gershom Baija and Mrs. Jennifer Baija of Kashari, Mbarara District. Mrs. Baija is a promonent NRM supporter in Kashari. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Turyamureba of Obwengaara, Kazo in Kiruhura District. 

President Museveni thanked Mrs. Jennifer Baija for being a good Movement supporter. He described her as a committed worker. He further thanked her for exemplary performance especially from the time of her husband’s death when she demonstrated her capacity to look after her children well. He was pleased to note that she built a home and established a farm which was progressing.

The Groom, Kenneth Baija saluted President Museveni for blessing the wedding ceremony and for employing him. He thanked God for the great wedding ceremony. He thanked the State House Staff for enabling him to do his work well.

The Bride, Sarah Nduhukire pledged to manage her family well. The Groom’s mother, Mrs. Jennefer Baija thanked the President for enabling her children to get employment. She called on the new couple to respect each other as a prerequisite for a happy relationship..

  1. Look who is talking? Ugandans would learn a lot if Museveni humbles himself first and cares for them buy not being arrogance and violating their basic human rights. M7 should humble himself and let the new blood Ugandans take over from him rather than always trying to re-invent himself with many contradictory statements and empty promises.

  2. That is the problem to invite politicians. I would never invite one but fortunately I do not have the opportunity. The wedding turned out as political rally and the two most important people bride and groom became onlookers. It is meant to be their biggest day but at least in their photo album have something to brag about “the president was on my wedding”. Ha ah
