Tumwebaze: I Shall Not Succumb To Intimidation

No nonsense Kampala Minister Frank Tumwebaze.
No nonsense Kampala Minister Frank Tumwebaze.

Frank Tumwebaze, the minister in charge of the presidency and Kampala city has opened up on the circumstances he is undergoing assuring all those against his work saying he is not about to succumb to their “cheap intimidation and blackmail”.

In a post on his Facebook wall on Thursday, Tumwebwaze started by explaining how he has had to endure hard judgement as Minister of Kampala saying “Hateful attacks, physical intimidation and insults and even cheap attempts aimed at my children have been invested in”

He however went to add that despite all that, his promise is “to do work entrusted me with fairness and decisiveness.”

For those whose aim is to fail him in his work as Kampala minister, this is his message; “I shall never hold back, fear to take action on any matter am convicted about nor succumb to cheap intimidation and black mail. Let those scheming to use those cheap tricks know”

Late last year, Tumwebaze came under harsh criticism after he chaired a Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) meeting in which the Councillors voted to oust emabtalled Mayor Erias Lukwago.

Many faulted him for overseeing a meeting whose legality was questioned.

Below is his full post;

In my job as Minister of Kampala Capital City, i have endured harsh judgement, hateful attacks, physical intimidation and insults and even cheap attempts aimed at my children have been invested in. I leave all that to God and forever promise to do work entrusted me with fairness and decisiveness. I shall never hold back, fear to take action on any matter am convicted about nor succumb to cheap intimidation and black mail. Let those scheming to use those cheap tricks know. Otherwise I salute all of you friends who send me cheers and messages of support. Kampala will will match forward at all costs…”

The writings are on the wall.

  1. Now see Mr. Tumwebaze your personal actions against the Democratically elected Mayor are costing your Innocent children. Where will you be after the one who instructs you is gone?

  2. It’s a pity people have succumbed to intimidating others. There are people not worthy intimidation, but especially boot lickers as these guys just want to ensure their bread is buttered. Just leave them alone, for God’s sakes.

  3. We, the public know all that you are lamenting about, the fact is you are so cheap, worthy thirty pieces of silver, an opportunist, a stooge and a puppet of Museveni. You have to know that you were handpicked and Lukwago, the Mayor was unanimously elected by the people. You have your master ( Kaguta) to satisfy and the Mayor has his eletorate to fulfill his pledges to.
    *Tread carefully, you are just another piece in the bathroom stand.

  4. Who told you that Museveni is going @ Alfred. People like our Lord Mayor were elected its true but we also choose the president the appointing authority by 68% so the opposition should let Tumwebaze be.
