Simeon Masaba, Agaba Extend URA Contracts

Uganda Cup champions Uganda Revenue Authority FC have gone ahead to tie in-demand players Simeon Masaba and Oscar Agaba down to new contracts that will keep them at the club until 2016.

The duo’s contracts run to an end last June after lighting the team to Uganda Cup victory this season in Mbale.

Contracts negotiations ended Sunday evening and the players committed to play for the Lugazi based side for the next two seasons.

“I have achieved a lot with URA F.C and there is a lot I need to achieve for myself and for the club in the near future and also coming back for the national team the Cranes,” Masaba told the club’s official website on Sunday.

Meanwhile, forward Robert Ssentongo who rejoined the club this April from St. George of Ethiopia has been recalled for national team camp preparing for the Afcon 2015 pre-qualifier return leg against Mauritania in place of injured Emma Okwi.

Ssentongo last played for Uganda in against Senegal in Marrakesh, Morocco in a decisive 2014 World Cup qualifier.
