Sserunkuma Top In Kenya

SserunkumaGor Mahia’s Ugandan forward Danny Sserunkuma now leads the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) goalscorers’ chart after scoring a brace yesterday in the neighbours biggest derby.

The Uganda Cranes star registered his eighth and ninth goals of the season in the 2- 2 draw with arch rivals AFC Leopards on Sunday 27 July, pulling clear of the crowded top scorers’ race as the 19th week of the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) wrapped up.

The two goals saw the Ugandan open a two goal lead from a crowded race that also has Sofapaka duo of John Baraza and Enock Agwanda; Ulinzi Stars’ Stephen Waruru; Edwin Oduor of SoNy Sugar and Michael Olunga of Thika United.

Among the 16 teams, Sofapaka coached by another Ugandan Sam Timbe are the best scorers with a total of 33 goals and the best goal difference – which stands at +17 after 19 rounds.
