Uganda will host Seychelles on July 11 and Malawi three days later in international friendlies, five days before facing Equatorial Guinea in the final round of the 2015 Nations Cup preliminary qualifiers, the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (Fufa) has announced.

Explaining the decision today, the FA said: “We are glad to land this friendlies because it will come at the most appropriate time when the Cranes are tuning up for the game against Equatorial Guinea. Seychelles Football Federation wrote to FUFA and informed us about their plans to camp in Kampla. We inquired about the possibility of playing a build up game with their team between 8th – 14th July 2014. We have confirmed the date as 11th July 2014′ FUFA publicist, Ahmed Hussein told Red Pepper Online edition on Wednesday afternoon

The meeting with Seychelles and Malawi should prove a tough test for Micho’s side as the South African nations look to build on their run to the final round preliminary qualifiers with Seyechelles playing Sierra Leone away and Malawi play Benin on the road the same weekend as both nations continue the journey to Morocco 2015.

The Cranes have since Monday last week been training in Kampala. They started the first of two regional tours, also part of the build-up to the Afcon qualifier, on Saturday.

Micho leads his men to the Western district in Mbarara on Saturday where they will played an exhibition game against a selected local side winning 1-0 before proceeding to Soroti, Eastern Uganda, this weekend.
