KCCA FC coach George Nsimbe has named three Uganda Cranes stars in his squad to face Gor Mahia of Kenya at Amahoro Stadium for the CECAFA Kagame Cup that has kicked off in Kigali today, Friday.
Nsimbe has deployed new defender Richard Kasagga, winger Brian Majwega and striker Brian Omony on the bench all just back from Mauritania where they took part in Uganda Cranes’ 1-0 win in the Afcon pre-qaulifiers. His opposite figure at Gor Mahia Bobby Williamson also boasts of a strong Ugandan contingent that including Daniel Serunkuma, Geoffrey ‘Baba’ Kizito and Geoffrey Walusimbi in their starting team.
KCCA last appeared in the CECAFA Kagame Cup in 2008 where they lost to Atraco at the quarter final stage. The match is one of the three scheduled for the day and will be aired live on SuperSport 9East (Channel 219).
Before KCCA takes to the pitch there will be a clash pitting South Sudan’s Atlabara FC versus Zanzibar champions KMKM FC as from 1400hrs Kenyan time then the last match of the day will see former Rwandan champions Rayon Sport take on Tanzanian champions Azam FC as from 1800hrs all at the Amahoro Stadium.
