Ugandan champions Kampala Capital City Athority FC scored as early as the 3rd minute through a Brian Majwega goal and two more strikes in either half set up a date with Sudan giants El Merriekh in the CECAFA Kagame Cup semis after eliminating South Sudan’s Atlabara FC in the quarter finals.
Brian Omony who had been provider for the first goal was also rewarded in the 33rd minute when Brian Umony hit free kick past the wall into the net after Majwega had been foul on the edge of the 18 yard area. Umony used his scoring experience to drill the freeekick home widening KCCA’s lead even further on their way to the breather.
With much confidence from the tunnel, Umony got hold of a ball and passed it to Hakim who found the back of the net to mark the third goal for KCCA.
Hakim Ssenkumba scored KCCA FC’s third goal in the match but the South Sudanese coached by Ugandan tactician Leo Adraa pulled one back through a penalty in the 87th minute.
APR, El-Mereikh and Police are the other teams in the semis.
