The Ugandan champions opened their campaign at the 2014 Cecafa Kagame Club Championship in Kigali with a 2-1 win over Gor Mahia FC last Friday, but fell by the same margin to Telecoms FC.

Nsimbe said on Monday morning that although the red card to Ronnie Kisekka also affected them, the loss means that they have to go back to the drawing board and plan well to win the remaining two games against Atletico of Burundi and Rwanda Champions, APR FC.

The coach reasoned that they had faced a tactically organised Djibouti team who should not be underrated in the tournament. He said new signing Richard Kasagga, who came on as a substitute against Telecom, will now be a starter on Wednesday when they face Atletico at the Nyamirambo Stadium. Although the 1978 champions KCCA FC have three points just like Telecom and APR, they slipped to third place on the log in Group B.

Meanwhile, Uganda Cranes striker Daniel Sserunkuma who scored in their 2-1 loss to KCCA FC has said his team Gor Mahia will bounce back today when they face Burundi’s Atletico FC.

He acknowledged that although the tournament is tough, they are motivated to play better and win their next three games to be able to make it to the knock out stages. Three other Ugandans who feature for the Kenyan side include Godfrey Walusimbi, Geoffrey ‘Baba’ Kizito and Arthur Ssemazi.

In other games played on Sunday, Tanzanian champions Azam FC humbled KMKM FC of Zanziba 4-0, while Rwanda’s Rayon Sport also managed a 2-1 win over Adama FC fromEthiopia.
