Coach Micho Sredojevic’s Uganda Cranes side will today evening play a warm-up game against Niger on Tuesday as they fine-tune for their Group E’s 2015 Nations Cup qualifier against Ghana on Saturday.
Uganda’s last trip to Niger ended in a 3-1 defeat in the 2010 Africa Nations Cup qualifier despite the Cranes taking a lead.
The Cranes travelled to Niamey in Niger on Sunday evening via Addis Ababa and reached yesterday. They will camp until Thursday when they connect to Kumasi via Accra.
They’re without injuried KCC winger Brian Majwega and University of Pretoria striker Geoffrey Massa. The South African club apparently refused to release the player despite Saturday’s game falling within the five days clubs are required by Fifa to release players for international duty that falls on the soccer body’s designated days.
