Al-Shabaab plans to attack Kenya and Uganda.
The Al-Qaeda allied terror group has also warned that it has already activated cells in New-York and Washington United S
Intelligence gathered by Strategic Intelligence show that American forces stationed at Mada-Bay, a drone base which may have been used to coordinate the attack that killed Al-Shabaab leader Abdi Godane maybe targeted.
Al-Shabaab who have operated terror bases near the Kenya border with Somalia staged attacks copying Boko Haram style of attacking villages in Lamu County of Kenya where the Mada-Bay facility is based.
There is credible intelligence that cells are being activated and they may use a fishing boat or a skiff to launch rocket propelled grenades on the American base.
Al-Shabaab may have very good knowledge of the facility and the geography of the area.
Another possible target where American forces are based is Djibouti.
This is the main base for drone operations targeting terror militants across East Africa.
Al-Shabaab bombed a popular cafe in the capital Djibouti killing several people mostly Western military officials working in the facility.
This capability if used now will be coupled with the zeal and desperation for revenge. The results can be catastrophic.
Tourists and American’s working or visiting East Africa are also targets.
Al-Shabaab on Monday threatened the US with “shocking news” as punishment for a U.S. missile strike that killed the terror groups leader Abdi-Godane in a message released by al Shabaab official, Fuad Mohamed Khalaf Shongole.
