Winners receive their awards at last year's ceremony
The inaugural ceremony of the Starqt Awards attracted people from all walks of life and by the look of things, they are deemed to be the best awards organised by Ugandans in South Africa.
While at the awards, Stella Nankya thanked everyone who made it a point to attend the awards.
“I hereby extend my sincere gratitude and appreciation to all those who attended the first Starqt awards in South Africa. May the good lord bless you. You made this possible despite time. To all who voted, thank you for the support,” said Stella the Starqt Awards organizer.
South African based Sangoma Katsha well known as Shaffic Katumba was the center of attraction when he came late and his table had already been taken. The flamboyant sangoma refused to seat until his table was vacated.
Stella revealed that the awards are aimed at recognizing South African based Ugandans who have contributed towards the development of our economy.
