The 2-2 in Vipers versus KCC in Buikwe was the highlight of the five games lined up when the Uganda Premier League (UPL) returned on Tuesday.

Midfielder Mutyaba Mike scored a brace for SC Vipers but was cancelled out by goals from Uganda Cranes duo Brian Majwega and  Umony Brian to earn a point for the travelling defending champions as they bounced back from their 1-0 defeat to newcomers Sadolin last week.

In Lugazi, struggling giants, URA, forced SCVU to concede their first goal this season beating them 1-0; the tax collectors’ first victory too while Lweza’s short trip to Kavumba to take on Lweza ended in 1-0 loss.

Villa, whose game against Express was abandoned with five minutes to go on Friday after the visitors’ fans pelted stones and police fired tear gas to disperse them, went to the top of the log despite being held in Jinja by local side BUL FC riding on the back of The Uganda Premier League’s decision earlier Tuesday to award the Jogoos three points and three goals after their aborted match.
