Arsenal fan left ‘heartbroken’ after leaving Emirates Stadium in tears following abuse from fellow Gooners

One Arsenal fan allegedly left the Emirates Stadium in tears following the team’s 2-1 loss to Manchester United on Sunday – after being abused by fellow Gooners for ‘daring to criticise Arsene Wenger’.

The fan in question, Nick, made the claim during a phone-in on talkSPORT on Sunday evening, and said he had been expressing his opinion that Wenger should leave the club when supporters began hurling abuse at him and his friends.

After labelling the abusive Arsenal fans ‘a disgrace’, Nick went on to admit he was now hesitant to return to the Emirates Stadium to watch his team play again – despite having supported the club for 45 years.

‘I’m heartbroken,’ Nick said.

‘I eat, sleep and drink Arsenal football club. I am a passionate, passionate Gooner.

‘But I’ve got worse abuse today [from Arsenal fans] then I get from the worst Tottenham fans.’
