Priest Tells Christians Not To Vote Museveni In 2016

Reverend father Gaetano Batanyenda, the priest of Kitanga Parish has asked hundreds of Christians in Kabale to help President Yoweri Museveni and relieve him of his duties come 2016.

The priest who doubles as the chairperson Kigezi Inter Religious Council knelt before Christians during a fundraising mass for the rehabilitation of Kitanga Parish church and told them that, Museveni was very tired to the extent of referring to other Ugandans as wolves.

His plea comes just a few days after Museveni told voters in Kabale that he was here to stay as he wasn’t willing to hand over power to wolves.

However, father Gaetano says Museveni has ruled for long to the extent of governing the country like his personal business.

He says Ugandan should help Museveni and send him to retire.

Our reporters also saw dozens of youth putting on Ex. Premier Amama Mbabazi’s T-shirts.  The youth arrived in the middle of the service to the excitement of some Christians.

But this wasn’t all. MPs Theodore Sekikubo and Wilfred Niwagaba also used the fundraising to bash president Museveni.

They accused the president of shielding corrupt officials and providing them a platform to steal from the public coffers.

Sekikubo announced his plans to battle president Museveni come 2016. 96 million shillings was realized in cash and pledges for the rehabilitation of the church.
