KCCA have a mountain to clinmb in their campaign to defend the Super league title after a shocking 1-2 thumping at the Phillip Omondi stadium in a shocking home loss to Sadolin FC on Tuesday.
The Yellow city lads have registered yet another humiliating defeat at the hands of the Eastern side club in what was a show of brisk passing of the ball by either sides that saw Coach Abdul Musafiri’s boys push for an opener in the later minutes before stoppage time of the first half with a Fred Segujja strike.
Abdullah Mubiru’s boys managed to get a quick come back after silencing the roaming Sadolin FC fans in the stands just a minute before their lead with a notch fired by skipper Herman Wasswa into the six yard’s box to make it 1-1 at Half time.
The defending champions came back into the second half in high gear with the hope to consolidate the half time result. They however were hamstrung by their lack of sharpness in front of goal. It proved tall order for them to roll past Sadolin FC Goalie Didi Mohammed.
KCCA efforts to mount pressure on their visitors went unrewarded until Sadolin FC through a stunning header from their defender Isaac Muyanga with a superb assist from Allan Oryek the skipper yielded a classy goal in the 60th minute that sealed it all.
Sadolin FC has managed to bag a double hit from their two meeting KCCA after a 1-0 victory in Jinja.
Meanwhile, on form Vipers SC have managed to unfurl their thirst for title glory after a 2-1 triumph over a stubborn FC Lweza in Buikwe to maintain themselves at the top of the Uganda Premier League table standings. A brace from Miya Farouk gave Edward Golola’s boys a deserved win against Lweza who have looked a threat in their campaign to clinch Uganda Premier League title since 2010. Lweza FC managed to score a consolation goal through former Vipers’ FC old boy Ddumba Sadala.
In other results Kira Young managed to humble host Rwenshama FC 0-3 at Nakivubo Stadium while Soana came up with a 3-2 winner over bottom placed Entebbe FC. The Uganda Premier League resumes on the 20th this month with 5 fixtures.
