FDC lawyer, Wilfred Murumba has been declared dead today morning at Kampala Hospital where he has been admitted for days.
Wilfred Murumba who is also Kabale based FDC lawyer was admitted to Kampala hospital in critical condition brought about by serious stomachache.
Red pepper online understands that Murumba recently sat for interviews for the position of judge at the High Court.
His fellow lawyer Joan Kagezi whom he sat the High Court Judge interviews with was on Monday March 30, murdered as she went to her home in Kiwatule a Kampala suburb.
Murumba, who has represented opposition ironman Dr Kizza Besigye in several court battles, was shortlisted among Uganda’s finest lawyers qualified for the position of the High court judge.
Murumba was also intending to stand for the position of MP Kabale Municipality on the FDC ticket in the coming 2016 polls.
On hearing the sad news, FDC conveyed their condolences via their official Facebook page
He has served us and many Ugandans as a Champion of Human Rights, he did extend his service to our leaders like Kizza Besigye, Ingrid Turinawe and our friends in the struggle like Erias Lukwago and many others when they were on tramped up charges.
His service has been cited on restoring rule of law and good governance, Counsel Wilfred subscribed to the Forum for Democratic Change – FDC.
We are grateful for his service in the party and his love for our country. We send our sympathies to his family members, the people of Kabale and friends.
