NRM 2016 Presidential aspirant and former Prime Minister John Patrick Amama Mbabazi has revealed that he doesn’t fear getting arrested.
“If I were afraid of getting arrested, I wouldn’t have come. I don’t know if they are going to arrest me,” Mbabazi said.
Mbabazi made these remarks yesterday afternoon at his home in Kololo upon returning from UK, US and China.
He also revealed that intimidation and installing fear among his supporters will not help in winning wars.
“Intimidation cannot win wars and I assure my supporters that the law is on their side. They should not chicken out. I don’t entertain such fear in me,”
Ever since Mbabazi declared his intentions to run for presidency in 2016, many of his supporters around the country have been arrested and detained.
It’s on record that while talking to the UK’s the independent news website, Mbabazi revealed that if did not fear during Amin’s regime then he would not fear now.
“I could be arrested,” says Amama Mbabazi. “I would not be surprised – but I’ve been engaged in too many struggles against regimes to be fearful.” Mbabazi told the independent.co.uk website adding that; “If I didn’t fear Idi Amin then, I won’t have fear now,”
