Defiant 2016 presidential aspirant and former Prime Minister John Patrick Amama Mbabazi has said that President Museveni is directly responsible for his arrest yesterday.
While talking to the BBC news agency, Mbabazi said he held President Museveni directly responsible for his arrest.
Amama Mbabazi also noted that he “will not back down” in his preparations for a presidential bid, despite the arrests.
Mbabazi was yesterday arrested in Njeru town as he headed to Mbale to kick off his nation-wide consultative meetings.
He was then transferred to Kiira road police station where he spent over 10 hours.
Mbabazi was later released and taken to his home in Kololo, a Kampala upscale suburb.
