President Museveni has pledged to pay school fees and give land to family of late Sarah Amin Kyolaba, wife of Uganda’s infamous dictator Late Ida Amin.

Museveni made the pledge yesterday when he met children of late Sarah Amin at State House.

“The President pledged to pay school fees for the children of former head of State, the Late Idi Amin Dada,” State House reported adding  “The family of Sarah Amin has been given land to carry out agriculture in order to help them settle back home.”

The family is returning from North London where they were living with their mother before she died last month.

In London, their departed mother owned a salon for three decades.

Late Kyolaba first lived with Amin in exile in Saudi Arabia before moving to North London in 1982.

President Museveni was part of Tanzania sponsored invasion which ousted Ida Amin in 1979.

This act of clemency will be viewed by analysts as a move to solicit votes from the family as we head into 2016 general elections.
