Former Prime Minister and 2016 presidential aspirant John Patrick Amama Mbabazi has today morning revealed that he will stand for presidency as an independent.
“I have decided not to stand within NRM,” Mbabazi said today morning at his Kololo based home
Mbabazi however said that he not quitting NRM.
“I will forever be a lifelong member of NRM, that’s irrevocable; but am going to contest outside of the NRM”
He also said that he fervently believes in the unity of all Ugandans, including those democratic elements in other political organizations.
Mbabazi also condemned the harassment & intimidation of Ugandans, especially the 4th Estate for exercising their rights.
On Monday June 15 2015, Ex Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi has declared that he will be standing for president come 2016.
“I come before you today, to tell you that I will be seeking your vote, first within my party the NRM as its flag bearer; and later on in the whole country for President in the 2016 Presidential elections,”
