Not so long ago, there was rumor that Jamaican dancehall superstars Konshens real name Garfield Spance and Busy Signal real name Glendale Goshia Gordon are coming back to perform in Kampala.
Snoops have learnt that it is no longer a rumour having been confirmed by Crown Beverages Limited (CBL) under its flagship brand Pepsi the official sponsors of the concert featuring the two artistes dubbed ‘Dance with Champions Concert’.
Confirming the concert on Monday morning at Sheraton Hotel, Jeff Ssekandi, Customer Marketing Manager, CBL, revealed that Pepsi has injected Shs200m into the concert slated for 28th August at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
Ssekandi added that getting involved in the Konshens and Signal concert fits well with Pepsi’s ‘Live For Now’ brand promise, which reflects the insight that its fans all around the world desire to capture the excitement of now.
“Konshens and Busy Signal are an extremely talented and ambitious duo. They have shown their skill on stage and in musical circles they have demonstrated professionalism and dedication; some of the attributes that Pepsi lives by” said Jeff Ssekandi.
The two will be joined by some of the country’s top singers on stage. Both singers have performed in Kampala before with Konshens coming to Uganda twice before.
