SC Villa has announced a budge worth Shs1.5billion for the upcoming season, 2015/2016.
The club’s president, Emmanuel Ben Misagga revealed their financial road map for forthcoming season 2015/2016 shortly after the club’s extra ordinary general assembly held at Pope Paul Memorial Center in Kampala on Wednesday.
“We are almost done with the club recruitment exercise and we are now looking for Shs1.5billion for the upcoming season. Part of this will come from the club’s Board members while the sales for the club will also play a vital role in generating the money.”
Misagga went ahead to say that SC Villa is among the few clubs in the country that can count match tickets, sponsors as another alternative from which a club can generate income for survival due to a broad fan base.
It was also reckoned that part of the money will also be through fundraising from club fans and well wishers.
It was revealed that for last season’s budget, Villa spent Shs1.4billion shillings with Shs108million earned from gate collections.
