Stella Nantumbwe Blasts Miss Uganda Haters

After sometime off the social scene, 2013/2014 Miss Uganda Stellah Nantumbwe who is well known as Ellah has come out with a very stinging message for haters of Miss Uganda girls.

In a long Facebook post early this week, Ellah came out to condemn all those individuals who undermine these beauties instead of supporting them for greater achievements.

“Grown folks spending their time and money hating on a 20-something year old who is simply trying to make it in life and live out her dreams simply baffles me. Give the girls a chance. They may surprise you,” she posted.

This comes after the 2015/16 Miss Uganda was crowned, but unlike last year, the new queen has not been so much criticized.

“The girls that make it at Miss World have the support of their country first, and then the world takes notice. It’s sad that we are pessimistic not optimistic. You’d be surprised how patriotism plays a big role at international events,” she added.

Ellah’s full statement

This may without a doubt be one of my longest posts.

Every year, a new Miss Uganda is crowned and every year there are people who do not believe in the queen that is chosen.

These people will spend the next few months (as the new Queen is preparing for Miss world) hating and bashing the young lady, while other countries support and nurture their queens. This is old and redundant. The girls that make it at miss world have the support of their country first, then the world takes notice.

It’s sad that we are pessimistic not optimistic. You’d be suprised how patriotism plays a big role at international events.
