Kampala City Council FC has officially changed the club’s name to Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA FC).
The latest development has been confirmed by the club chairman Mr. Julius Raymond Kabugo with the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA).
“It is now official the club will be called Kampala Capital City Authority FC or KCCA FC, it was part of the new developments that were planned for the club,” Kabugo said.
The rebranding also saw FUFA confirming the development after offering the club a new registration certificate ahead of the 2015/16 season campaign with the name KCCA FC.
KCCA was established in 2010 under an Act of parliament as a corporate governing body and the club being under the umbrella of the body it had to change its name in line with their stake holders (KCCA).
KCCA under Director Ms Jennifer Musisi a few months back issued a budget worth Shs1.8billion meant to run the club in the 2015/2016 Azam Uganda Premier League
