MTN Sponsored Ekiggunda Breaks Attendance Record

It was a full pitch at Nakivuubo Stadium on Sunday 2nd August 2015 with an interesting line-up of musicians that provided non-stop entertainment for a record mammoth crowd.


The gates to the MTN and Radio Simba Ekiggunda opened as early as 8am Sunday morning as revelers streamed in to swim in a sea of music melodies from their favorite artists.

The equipment set up from Silk Events did not let the organizers down. High quality sounds greeted the revelers ears as they swayed to tune after tune from the many artists that performed.

Indeed Musicians put up a very interesting show, each trying to outdo the other to grab the audience attention.

Coco Finger, who jumped on the stage at around 3:00pm, did the unthinkable when he swung his frail body up the goal post and did some vigorous vibrations atop the bar.

This stunt was greeted with defeating ululation from the crowd.

Bebe Cool on his part waited patiently back stage until when the clouds opened letting out heavy afternoon shower.

As revelers scampered to the shades for shelter, Bebe Cool jumped on the stage.


He then put up a spirited show, attracting many people back in the rain. His energetic performance, drenched in rain triggered off wild dancing from the crowd who threw care to the wind as they danced in the rain.

The artist line-up also included Irene Namubiru, Rema Namakula, Catherine Kusasira, Irene Ntale, Bobi Wine, Gravity Omuttuju, Good Life Crew and Eddy Kenzo among hundreds of other budding artists ready to showcase their creations.

Food and drinks vendors kept the crowd in high spirits with a lineup of muchomo stalls roasting away sausages, beef, chicken and pork.

In attendance was MTN Chief Marketing Officer, Mapula Bodibe who expressed utter amazement at the turn up of people to the MTN Sponsored event. She expressed MTN commitment to continue the partnership with media houses to provide fun time for MTN customers.
