Uganda national team, the Cranes has continued to sink according to the latest FIFA rankings as of 6th August 2015
Uganda that was 73rd last month are now ranked 74th after dropping a place with 463 points, four less than those of the previous month.
The country is however static at continental level (CAF) after retaining the 19th position.
Despite, Uganda’s fall in the two months of July and August respectively, the country remains a power house in the CECAFA region beating Sudan in the 87th position a side they are to face in CHAN qualifiers, Rwanda 91st and Ethiopia are the only CECAFA members in the first 100 positions.
With an outlook on the performance of CECAFA members the rankings have seen Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania (140) and Burundi (132) all falling while Kenya has remained static after maintaining their previous 116th slot.
On continental level, Algeria, Cote D’Ivoire, Ghana, Tunisia and Senegal complete the top five teams in Africa while Argentina, Belgium, Germany, Colombia and
Brazil are the best in the world.
Uganda’s rivals in the 2018 FIFA world cup qualifiers, Togo are six places below sitting on the 80th place worldwide and a place below Uganda on the continent (20th).
