Vivo energy has boosted the Pearl of Africa Rally with a whooping sponsorship package of Shs100million mainly to cater for the safety standards.
The deal was announced on Wednesday afternoon at official launch of the African Rally Championship (ARC) at Shell Bugolobi.
Vivo energy managing director Hans Paulsen announced that the company will extend its commitment to supporting motorsport in Uganda.
The Pearl of Africa Rally is scheduled to roll-off from the 29th -30th August with a total of 760kms (205km) to be covered.
Starting with day 1 on Friday 29th August, crews will start with a super special stage at Zion Estates in Matugga, before they head to Mubende district on day two.
The Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally is the 6th round of the Africa national rally championship and is also the 5th round of the national Rally Championship.
