Looks like some Ugandans how learnt a lesson or two from retired American professional boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. on how to spend their money.
Latest info doing rounds is that city businessman Meddie Ssentongo and two South Africa based tycoons Katsha and Cameroon Gitawo Chris have formed The Money Team (TMT) Africa.
Whereas most people think that the trio started the group to rival the Rich Gang made up of sangomas Ivan Semwanga, King Lawrence and Ed Cheune, they insist that there are no hard feelings between the two camps.
In fact, like the Rich Gang, TMT is throwing what they have termed as a mega end of year party that they intend to make annual.
According to sources, the party is themed ‘Money & Gold Party’ and is scheduled to take place at Industrial Area based posh nightclub Guvnor on 30th December.
However, unlike other groups like Rich gang and Arab Money that just show off, TMT members reveal that their aim is to motivate youths in Kampala to do something with their lives by initiating developmental projects that will be unveiled at the party.
Sources that have seen the budget for the party reveal that Meddie, Katsha and Gitawo will spend up to Shs400m on the event expected to attract the A-lister partiers in the city.
Snoops have established that Gitawo has been in South Africa for over fifteen years living in Pretoria and is a self-styled entrepreneur who owns a number of businesses including Sandton technical College under the Sandton Education Group.
He is also said to own a food chain named Kristel Family Restaurant with two branches in Sandton and Cape Town.
In fact, TMT has already booked some of the top musicians to entertain at the party including Jose Chameleone, Bebe Cool, Sheebah Karungi and Irene Ntale.
