On Saturday night, death robbed Kiruhura of a youthful Member of Parliament aspirant when one of the Global coaches crashed the car he was travelling in as he left Kanyaryeru rally.
Micheal Nyamuguri Kananura who was contesting for the MP seat for Nyabushozi constituency in Kiruhura district died on spot after accident.
His car was knocked by a bus that belongs to Global Coaches Company.
The late Kananura, worked as Nyabushozi senior assistant secretary before resigning, declaring his candidature to contest for the Nyabushozi county Parliamentary seat currently occupied by Col. Fred Mwesigye.
He was the candidate with higher chances to win the race.
Kananura has been convening meetings with many people sometimes in Mbarara, Kiruhura and Kampala.
He was an entrepreneur, owning a number of small scale businesses at the same time working as a public servant.
He worked in all sub counties of Nyabushozi County as a sub county chief.
Who is Nyamuguri in the History of Kiruhura?
He was born in 1976 to Mr. Eric Nyamuguri and Mrs. Ester Nyamuguri; in Kinoni sub county Nyabushozi, Kiruhura District.
He studied primary level at Rushere P/S in 1992, O’level at Kakosi in Masaka District then A’level Nakasero SS Kampala 1997-98.
Later in 1999 he joined Makerere up to 2002 where he pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences.
From University (2003- 2006), he started a self-employment business dealing in milk selling.
From 2007-2011 he was employed as the Chief District Officer of Kiruhura District and hee also worked in different sub counties that include Kikatsi, Kinoni, Buremba.
Then, from 2011 up to when he resigned to enter politics, he was working as Kiruhura district senior assistant secretary.
