A few months back, singer Jose Chameleone announced that he had parted ways with manager Robert Nkuuke Jackson popularly known as Mutima.
Last Friday evening, the ‘Wale Wale’ hit maker issued a statement regarding the issue in which he thanked Mutima for the good work done but insisted that he (Mutima) is no longer his manager.
“I take this platform to Thank Nkuuke Robert Jackson (Mutima) for his extended loyalty as he served as Artiste Manager for me from 16th May 2014 to 16th May 2015. Your one year in Office representing me as a brand will always be appreciated. I here so notify the general Public, Friends, Fans and most important my Business associates that Robert Jackson Nkuuke aka MUTIMA is No Longer representing Jose Chameleone as Manager. Robert thank you for your service, and outstanding qualities. Together with Team Chameleone and Leone Island Family, I wish you the very best in your next endeavors. May God bless you” Chameleone posted on his Facebook wall.
The pencil thin singer’s statement has since had the public wondering as to why he decided to issue it several months after firing Mutima.
Sources close to Chameleone reveal that even after his contract was terminated, Mutima has been masquerading as the singer’s manager and collecting money from people.
“Chameleone is mad that Mutima continues to refer to himself as his manager. He wants him (Mutima) to stop using the singer’s name to collect money from people,” intimates the source.
Chameleone even wants Mutima to change his social media information which sill shows that he is the singer’s manager.
Chameleone concluded his post by informing the public to personally contact him through his email address and mobile phone number in case of booking.
However, another source reveals that another yet to be identified music promoter is behind Mutima’s axing. Watch the space!!!
