After the Electoral commission nominated President Museveni and Amama Mbabazi, Professor Venansius Baryamureeba was the next and he was a duly nominated candidate.
“I declare Venansius Baryamureeba a duly nominated candidate for presidential elections 2016,” said the EC Chairman Badru Kiggundu.
Shortly after his nomination, Baryamureeba revealed that at this moment in time, Uganda needs someone fresh with new ideas.
“This country needs someone fresh, with new ideas,” said the flamboyant professor before adding that; “I am going to revamp the education sector, increase the number of teachers and up their welfare.”
“Many people here earn peanuts yet they work for multi-national companies. I will put in place a minimum wage.”
Barya also aired out his concerns over gross abuse of human rights and rule of law. He said that it should be looked at seriously.
Barya also assure Journalists that he has overwhelming support from whole country despite reports that he failed to collect signatures from his constituency, Ibanda South.
