Just days to the end of the year, the Emboko hit singer Cornelius Oloya famously known as Master Blaster is dead.
The singer is said to have succumbed to gun wounds he sustained after he was shot at Eden Service Park in Bwaise on December 28, 2015.
It is said that the deceased picked up a fight with other revealers believed to be South Sudan Nationals at the venue, who later shot him.
Other sources say the Emboko singer was hit by a stray bullet fired by cops who were trying to disperse a bar brawl.
The bar has since been closed to allow investigations.
Police spokesperson Fred Enanga says, Master Blaster was trying to grab a gun from one of their officers and in the process, he shot at him.
He further said that Master Blaster had connived with a South Sudan national to grab the gun from the cop.
Master Blaster rose to fame when he released is song, Emboko in 2007, which received massive airplay although he has never released another song akin to it.
