Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) presidential candidate Kizza Besigye yesterday’s rally at Boma grounds in Mbarara, western Uganda attracted massive crowds.
The rally could be Besigye’s best attended rally in the ongoing presidential campaigns elections. Uganda will go to polls on 18th February.
Besigye, a four times presidential candidate has won hearts of masses, beating his erstwhile enemy president Museveni in urban areas.
At Mbarara rally, the huge crowds could not be captured by the camera lenses. The overflow of crowds at Besigye’s rallies in the recent days signifies his never-ending popularity.
The enthusiastic crowd attempted to fight the police as the latter was trying to control the procession when it approached Mbarara-Ibanda road.
“Mbarrrrraaaaaaa! Peaceful, strong, warm, bold, unapologetic, jubilant, fun! I love my hometown,” Winnie Byanyima, Besigye’s wife tweeted.
