KCCA Awards Tumwebaze
Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) has recognised the contribution of the outgoing Kampala minister, Hon. Frank K Tumwebaze at a dinner that took place at Katonga Hall, Serena Hotel.
The function held on Thursday night was attended by all the four outgoing division mayors of Kampala; Dr. Ian Clarke, Mr. Kalumba, Hon. Mubarak Munyagwa, Godfrey Nyakana and Owek. Joyce Sebugwawo who is still a serving mayor. Also, in attendance were the authority councillors.
All the mayors paid tribute to Hon. Frank Tumwebaze for the work he had while minister for Kampala. Owek. Sebugwawo appreciated the minister for the time he had spent at KCCA. While Hon. Munyagwa reminisced of the old days with Hon. Frank Tumwebaze in the Kamwenge Students Association. Hon. Munyagwa also sent the guests into a frenzy when he said he was the most disciplined human being.
The former Deputy Lord Mayor Sulaiman Kidandala who spoke on behalf of the councillors appreciated the minister’s work in transforming the city and said that he was willing to continue supporting the team at KCCA.
Hon. Tumwebaze in turn said he was very happy to have found a candid team at KCCA and appreciated Ms. Jennifer Musisi for being a good leader. The dinner climaxed with Musisi handing over an appreciation plaque to Hon. Tumwebaze. Also, all division mayors and authority councillors received awards. Musisi also gave a gift to Mrs. Tumwebaze for always being supportive of the husband.
