Education and Sports Minister Janet Kataaha Museveni who is also Uganda’s first lady has vowed to do her best to bring sex education in schools to an end.

Janet Museveni has promised to work hand-in-hand with sister ministries of; Ethics and Integrity, Justice, ICT and National Guidance to stop to the distribution of comprehensive sex education materials in Ugandan schools.

Janet Museveni said this while speaking to stakeholders in the Education sector during the 23rd annual Education and Sports sector review workshop in Kampala yesterday.

She vowed to set up her own investigations team to uncover the origin of these books which she said they come from undercover.

This follows the Parliamentary committee’s confiscation of books with sexual content from Green Hill Academy in Buwaate, Wakiso District earlier this month.

Some of the books included Kiss, Girls in Love, Love Lessons and many more authored by Jacqueline Wilson, the British author.
