Kibuule Roasted On Social media For Assaulting Female Security Guard

Kibuule Roasted On Social media For Assaulting Female Security Guard

By Serestino Tusingwire

The state minister for Water Ronald Kibuule tasted the wrath of Ugandans when he tried to defend himself that he did not assault a female security guard in Mukono last week

In a Facebook post on his timeline, Kibuule defended himself saying he is a feminist who can never at one point assault a woman.

“What I want to tell dear Ugandans is that am a woman activist, the allegations aren’t true, this is just the work of malicious haters who want to see me down. I can never raise my hand to beat a woman,” reads the Facebook post on his timeline

It is alleged that Kibuule beat Hellen Obuku, a Stanbic bank security guard in Mukono as she insisted that the former undergoes a routine security check at the bank and thereafter ordered for her arrest in which she collapsed while being taken to Police to record a statement.

The Red Pepper story which was published with an apology letter from Stanbic bank CEO stirred much anger on social media and some showed grievances by closing bank accounts they had with Stanbic bank.

Dr. Kiyimba Joseph one of the aggrieved persons over this incident said he cannot tolerate the bank that does not equally treat its people.

“I have directed my attorney in Kampala to close all my Family Bank Accounts in Stanic bank with immediate effect. That’s my personal Stanbic bank accounts, my wife Dr. Margaret’s Stanbic bank accounts and the accounts for our two Children. We ceased to be customers of Stanbic Bank Uganda the day they apologized to Minister Ronald Kibuule instead of taking collective civil and criminal action against him,” Dr-Kiyimba said while commenting

Red Pepper brings you some of the peoples’ reactions in detail;

Dr-Kiyimba Joseph I have directed my attorney in Kampala to close all my Family Bank Accounts in Stanic bank with immediate effect. That’s my personal Stanbic bank accounts, my wife Dr. Margaret’s Stanbic bank accounts and the accounts for our two Children. We ceased to be customers of Stanbic Bank Uganda the day they apologized to Minister Ronald Kibuule instead of taking collective civil and criminal action against him. I have also directed all Directors of my Companies and Organizations in Uganda to close all Bank Accounts in Stanic Bank Uganda with immediate effect. We cannot tolerate their actions which is a travesty of Justice! How can Minister Ronald Kibuule assault a female security guard and the Bank doesn’t step in to help her? This is grossly unfair! If President Yoweri Museveni and the Ugandan Parliament cannot take punitive and disciplinary action against Minister Ronald Kibuule then let the general public take action!

Joe Van These are the people who think that they’re more ugandan than others and are above the law. If this had happened in a country where the leaders are sane then both the horrible minister and the tragic CEO of stanbic bank would have resigned by now. He’s…See More

Elly Mwesigye Not forgetting that naive branch manager who made the apology. He too deserves to be taught what he is suposed to do and how. How the hell would he do that against an innocent guard who actually did the work appropriately but to be rewarded by denial and rejection in daylight.
