Comoros Football Team Jets In Ahead Of Crucial Cranes AFCON Decider

Comoros’ Football team, the Les Coelecantes arrived in the country on Thursday afternoon ahead of their clash with the Uganda Cranes in an African Cup of Nations qualifier on Sunday.
Le Coelecantes were welcomed by FUFA head of Protocol, Boniface Oryema, Emmanuel Sekago (security) and former Uganda Cranes international defender, Lawrence Kizito.
Uganda Cranes take on Comoros in a must win situation to book a berth to the African Cup of Nations finals that will be hosted in Gabon in 2017.
The team is expected to have a light training session on Thursday evening at the Phillip Omondi stadium, Lugogo in Kampala.
Earlier, there were misunderstanding between the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) the head of the Comoros contingent with the latter accusing the former for lack of hospitality.
However, Comoros footballers checked in at Imperial Royale and revealed that they had been well received despite earlier misunderstandings.
Cranes beat Comoros in the first leg in Moroni courtesy of Tonny Mawejje’s strike in a well contested encounter last year.
