STRANGE!! Uganda Police Patrol Vehicles Used To Transport Telecom Equipment


Red Pepper has landed on Pictures of Uganda Police patrol vehicles being used to transport Telecom equipment used on different masts.

Our snoops have revealed that Police Patrol Vehicle Registration number UP 2557 was pictured offloading the Mast equipment at Bukungu site which is around 127km from Jinja via Kamuli road.

On further investigation, it was revealed that the masts are owned and constructed by Eaton Toweres.

Eaton Towers is a leading, independent, telecom Tower Company in Africa and will have the most diversified geographical tower portfolio in Africa.

In March 2012, Eaton Towers made a major investment in Uganda, with the acquisition of 400 towers from the then Warid Telecom Uganda.

The acquisition gave them over 700 towers in Uganda, with national coverage, following the other acquisition of 300 towers from Africell Uganda.

Recently, Lawmakers directed the Ministry of Public Service to stop the abuse of government vehicles.
