The Wankulukuku based Express FC has won itself a mega deal worth Shs300m with Multi-choice Uganda (DStv) for a period of one year.
Multi-Choice Uganda Chairman Steven Musoke unveiled the sponsorship package to Express FC officials led by club chairperson Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi and club president Bbaale Mugera, in front of a packed hall at Golf Course Hotel in Kampala yesterday.
“As pace setters in our industry we at Multi-Choice believe in legacy and as leaders in Pay TV we do understand what a pioneer brand like Express FC means. The management looked at all teams and thought there is better mileage by associating with the team,” Musoke noted.
“Our choice for sponsorship anchors on the legacy we both share as brands and the credibility Express FC is showcasing, especially by the appointment of their new chairperson, Florence Nakiwala,” he added.
In an appreciation speech, Nakyiwala said; “”I’m humbled and privileged to witness this. We would like to appreciate DStv for the sponsorship; it serves as great reminder of our legendary position in the soccer fraternity and we are committed to ensure we return to the top.”
The one-year deal will not only have Express among the smartest teams in the league with sh20m branded jerseys, training kit and track suits; but the deal also sees them get Shs50m cash plus other more packages.
