Lweza FC Penalized For Fans’ Violence & Hooliganism


Lweza FC has been penalized by Uganda Premier League because fans indulged in the acts of violence and hooliganism.

“The Referee’s Match Report and witness from persons of authority for AUPL match #60 Proline FC Vs Lweza FC that was played on Saturday 1st /10/2016 at P.Omondi Stadium-Lugogo indicate that some of your fans exhibited high level of indiscipline during the match,” reads the notices in parts and signed by Bainamani Bernard Bampaire, CEO-UPL

“Lweza FC fans threw stones on the field of play which resulted into the match being halted for about five minutes.”

In that regard, Uganda Premier League has fined Lweza FC Shs300, 000 which should be paid before your next fixture.

“Pursuant to Article 33(2) (b) of FUFA Competitions Rules, Lweza FC has been given a monetary fine of 300UAs (Shs300, 000) which should be paid before your next fixture. The UPL Secretariat strongly warns Lweza FC that should their fans indulge in the acts of violence and hooliganism again, more stringent penalties will be applied.”
