Former Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party presidential candidate, Kizza Besigye has been bloked from leaving his home in Kasangati, a Kampala surburb.

Besigye revealed on his twitter account on Wednesday afternoon condemning the act as one of impunity.

“Happening just now: Kayihura Police officers say their orders are not to allow me out of my home at all- period! Impunity at its highest,” Besigye tweeted.

It is not clear why he has been prevented from leaving his home but the former FDC president’s car was on Tuesday towed by the police after the two parties clashed over what route to use from the city centre.

Besigye had gone to court for his routine appearance as part of his bail conditions. He is charged with treason.
