Makerere University signs pact with Japan University
Makerere University yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding with Japan’s Okayama University to allow the exchange of students and information.
Dr Arthur Tugume the lecturer of Natural sciences who has benefited from the exchange program at the PHD level says the agreement will allow the free flow of information and research.
“We are also going to exchange research information and we shall also work together in terms of research.”
The Japanese ambassador to Uganda Kazuaka Kameda who witnessed the MoU signing believes that the ties will yield healthy fruits.
The agreement will take an estimated five years and is renewable.
