Micho Summons 25 Players Ahead of AFCON 2017
By Serestino Tusingwire
Uganda Cranes coach Milutin Micho Sredojevic has named a 25-man squad to kick start on initial preparations for the 2017 AFCON finals to be played in Gabon.
The training will start on Wednesday this week with four non residential training sessions, that is; 23rd, 24th, 27th and 28th November, 2016.
With the 2016 CACAFA Senior Challenge cup still in balance, FUFA has heeded to the plans submitted by Micho.
“FUFA will support the technical team towards preparations and planning for the 2017 AFCON Finals, Gabon. It is a challenge to the team not getting an opportunity to play in the CECAFA Senior challenge Cup which had been included in the Cranes preparations for the AFCON Finals. We have had to change the plans.” FUFA Communications Manager Ahmed Hussein said.
“Micho will release the detailed programme at the FUFA weekly press conference on Wednesday about the Uganda Cranes’ preparations for the 2017 AFCON Finals.” Hussein added.
