Trump attacks Somalis, They are A Menace To US
Republican Party presidential candidate Donald Trump has attacked the Somali community in the US state of Minnesota, blaming them for “spreading extremist views all over the country”.
He used a knife attack by a Somali immigrant in September in St. Cloud city as an example, saying that the people of Minnesota have “suffered enough”.
Trump, who was on a whirlwind campaign trip before Tuesday’s election, said that if he became president he would ensure that local communities were consulted before refugees settled.

Here are the key quotes from his speech:
“How stupid are our leaders? How stupid are they to allow this to happen? Here in Minnesota you have seen firsthand the problems with faulty refugee vetting with large numbers of Somali refugees coming into your state without your knowledge. Without your support or approval.”
“With some of them joining [militant Islamist group] Isis and spreading their extremist views all over our country and all over the world. Honestly, it’s hard to believe and everybody is reading about the disaster taking place in Minnesota….”
“You’ve seen the recent knife attack in st. Cloud. A Trump administration will not admit any refugees without the support of the local community where they are being placed. It’s the least they can do for, you’ve suffered enough.”
