Snakes take over Dorcus Inzikuru’s house

Snakes and lizards are enjoying the comfort of the former steeplechase world champion, Dorcus Inzikuru’s home.

The posh house in Anyafio Cell, Arua Hill Division in Arua Municipality was constructed for Inzikuru as an appreciation by the Government of Uganda for the 300m steeplechase gold she won in Helsinki, Finland in 2005.

But it seems Inzikuru also needs government to give money to maintain the compound.

For the last one month, we have been keenly monitoring Inzikuru’s compound as grass takes it over.

As a result, snakes, lizards and flies of different species have taken refuge on her spacious compound.

This has left locals wondering whether the pencil size athlete cum police officer can’t afford money for slashing her compound.

Others say, Inzikuru might be broke since of late, she has been running after President Yoweri Museveni for cash.
