M7’s ‘SOWING THE MUSTARD SEED’ Made Compulsory to Schools

President Museveni has donated copies of his book titled ‘SOWING THE MUSTARD SEED’ to the ministry of education with the aim of disseminating them to all government aided schools in Uganda.
According to the letter signed by Nsumba-Lyanzi, the permanent secretary Ministry of Education and Sports, each government aided school shall receive at least two copies of the book.
Full letter reads:
This is to inform you that Ministry of education has received a donation of books from H.E Yoweri Museveni titled ‘SOWING THE MUSTARD SEED’ to be distributed among all government aided schools.
All government aided schools shall receive at least two copies of the book. The books shall be the property of the school to be stored in the library for ease of access by all students and teachers.
As you are all aware, one of the core roles of secondary education is to promote a proper understanding, appreciation and loyalty of Uganda’s national identity in bid to foster peace and national cohesion to development.
The book, ‘Sowing The Mustard Seed’ details causes of our troubled national history, subsequent liberation and path to national recovery. It is intended to enlighten our school going youth about our national history which is very critical to laying a firm foundation to responsible citizenship.
You are therefore required to ensure that the book is readily available to all students and you are also urged to encourage students to read the book.
