Congratulations Miss World Africa, Quiin Abenakyo, Ugandans React

Millions perhaps billions of people around the Globe followed the last moments of Miss World 2018 competitions as they waited for the winner. In Uganda, the public had voted after being rallied from President Yoweri Museveni, Rt Hon Speaker Kadaga in Parliament, Bobi Wine of people power, Hellenah Namutamba rallied Busoga and other Ugandans, Dr Sabrina Kitaka reached to the medical profession and the media did its part.

After voting, Ugandans watched, waited and prayed for Quiin Abenakyo to win or perform well. Quiin Abenakyo not known before had raised Uganda’s flag to the world and was taking on traditional countries that have won the title before.

Rt Hon Rebecca Kadaga , Uganda’s Speaker said “Congratulations Miss Uganda, Quiin Abenakyo, on making it third in Miss World 2018 and on being crowned Miss World Africa! You have done Uganda and Africa proud.

The only African making it among the Miss World top 5 finalists”.

Quiin Abenakyo first made it to 30 later 12 and finally among top most beautiful women around the world.

Rt Hon Jacob Oulanyah , Deputy Speaker said ,” Heartiest congratulations to Miss World Africa,
Uganda’s Quiin Abenakyo for making history and lifting Uganda’s flag highest. Thank you for uniting Uganda and making us all so very proud!”.

Doctor Sabrina Kitaka a friend of adolescents, Congratulated Quiin Abenakyo , a lady she worked hard to see friends vote for. Sabrina says its a leap step for our adolescents and an inspiration to many that we can make it on world stage.

From the day Quiin Abenakyo made it among top 30 Miss World competitions, campaigns to vote her mesmerized many people across Uganda, Africa and the World. Until recently with our acrimonious politics which leave many angry, the appeal to vote Quiin Abenakyo united Ugandans.

As results came in on social media, many Ugandans couldn’t believe it. Its Uganda’s moment to shine across the Globe.

Ms Hellenah Namutamba, the Minister of Tourism Busoga where Quiin Abenakyo hails from had tears in her eyes after hearing the news. I have rallied people and leaders, Oh My God, Quiin Abenakyo has made it for Uganda.

“Congratulations Miss Uganda, Quiin Abenakyo, on making it third in Miss World 2018 and on being crowned Miss World Africa! You have done Busoga ,Uganda and Africa proud”.

Kazinga tours said “Thank you Miss Uganda Quiin Abenakyo for defending Uganda’s unique name and title, the Pearl of Africa. We are so proud and we congratulate you!”.
Miss Uganda Quinn Abenakyo has been named winner of the 2018 Miss World Continental – Africa title at Congratulations

Miss Uganda 2018 Quin Abenakyo has made it to the miss world finals,it should be noted that the 22year old is the first ugandan beauty queen to make it this far in the Miss world pageant. Keep voting for her to bring the crown home!!

Mexico’s Vanessa Ponce is #MissWorld2018.

Miss Uganda Quiin Abenakyo finishes among the top 5 and is crowned Miss World Africa, Abenakyo is also the World’s 2nd runner-up in popular vote.

Kenneth Lukwago Anderson a Journalist said “Its Mexico that takes it as Ugandan makes it to 3rd position at Ms world beauty pageant. Thailand took the 2nd”.
